Baseball is a sport that can hold special meaning to someone who loves the game. For Taylor Duncan it means changing people’s thoughts on disabilities and special needs in general. The Alternative Baseball Organization, ABO for short, is a non-profit organization that provides baseball training and activities for teens and adults with autism and other disabilities. When Duncan was young, he had many sensory related issues and anxiety, But he wanted to play traditional sports games like baseball. But He was denied due to society's non understanding on what people with autism can and cannot do. As Taylor Duncan grew older he wanted to change people's perception on autism and disabilities by starting ABO in 2016 in Dallas, Georgia. The organization has taught people with disabilities social and physical skills, and how to have fun without being judged for who they are and inspire them to do great despite their disabilities. The ABO has been featured on different news channels and has their own website.
